Election results are updated as often as new data is received from county elections offices after the polls close at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Many ballots are counted after Election Day. County elections officials have approximately one month to complete their extensive tallying, auditing and certification work. They must report final certified results to the Secretary of State by December 5.
The Secretary of State only certifies results for state and federal contests. For local election results, go to the website of the county elections office conducting the election.
